WHO IS WHO IN MY CLASS

Today's blog is all about peoples personality and how best i can say something about them. I call it WHO IS WHO IN MY CLASS. 

Elizabeth Bahati (Lizzy)

As the name goes, she is the lucky and positively noisy lady who is all round, in class and in outside life. A nice and very kind hearted black beauty until you cross her boundaries then she will make your ears explode. She loves ice cream and is a definition of generosity and true friendship. Lastly I would say she is a bright and extra hard working student.

Lynn Kamara (Senje)

A short beautiful lady who addresses me as “Shemeji”. She is the bright kind of lady who never shows up for class early. She is a fashion star who dresses like a model and is always smart and unique. She is also kindhearted and very very single
Tina 

 Tina (Mokua)
A very bright and hardworking lady who is always on her toes to achieve her goal. She is ambitious and friendly. She loves minding her own business and does not force things to happen she just lets them be.  

Christine Mwikali(Mwiks)

Mwiks 

A light skin Kamba lady who knows Kamba language in her finger tips. She is honest and very kindhearted and does not entertain nonsense. She is never afraid of anything and aspires to be a news presenter.Whenever you see her coming..just know some deep kamba is about 
to get down.

A tall and dark man who is a tattoo artist…talk anything against tattoos and he could hit you. He is a last minute person and nothing gets him by surprise. Kind hearted and generous too.A very good friend of mine especially during exams.

Cynthia (Tinku)
Tinku
A very active and lively girl who is caring. She is a dancer by profession and is also a composer of new dancing styles. She loves ice cream and a day cant end without her grabbing two or three. She is funny but serious at times. She addresses me by the name “Nzangiii” and loves a lot of fun. A good swimmer too.



Valentine Akoth (Akothe)

She has lots of Drama as her Nickname suggests. A go-getter and she is so passionate about art and Music, a dancer and a poet in the making. One can't get bored being in her company. I mean she is just crazy.

The guy with the hardest name in class and I even hope I spelled it correctly. He is a professional photographer and loves his work. He was the photographer who did a photo which is a story for another day. He keeps smiling all the time with or without a reason. He is also friendly and hardworking.

 Nathan
I can't forget this humble and softhearted gentleman from Bomet county. He is very focused, bright, cooperative and ambitious. He presents news very well and is an aspiring radio presenter. His kind heart is recommendable. He is loved by everyone too.
Ann and Bett

Ann Mutete
The shortest girl in class but she would beat you up for saying she is short. She is ambitious and a very good advisor. She minds her own business and would never let anyone insult her.

Bett Kipkorir (Maasai)
Bett
A very tall, dark and handsome man who is the comedian of the class. His tall nature makes him get free hugs without asking. He loves art by heart and it is his heartbeat. Besides art he is a professional editor and DJ. He is loved even by lecturers and he is the first one to have a lecturer for a  best friend. He is funny and someone you would love being around. He is humble, kindhearted and also hardworking. He hates failure and never wants to hear it anywhere near him. He also happens to be my best and closest friend.....




This are just a few of my wonderful classmates. I love my class and will miss them after school. The moments I have with them will remain in my heart forever. This blog is dedicated to them.

MY LOVE FOR MATHEMATICS

Mathematics is an easy subject which consists of numeric values 0, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 which are accompanied by signs and symbols that connect to form maths equations and formulas.The basic reason as to why I am fond of mathematics is that it is a simple game of numbers that can be used to solve so many problems. 

This aspect helps mathematics increase the intellectual capacity of people as they are able to think of ways to solve problems that face them and also in making decisions that concern various situations. Mathematics is related to almost all other disciplines and in some it is the base of all other theories that are added to them.

Mathematics is taught in different stages of life and advances from simple equations(eg. <rectangle>Area=length × width) to complex ones( identities like cos²ø+sin²ø=1). The formulas advance according to specialization in different levels of education.Mathematics is also applied to most of our daily activities.

Consider an aspect of probability where the occurrence of an action(event) totally or partially depends on the occurrence of another action(event), by means of calculation it is simple to apply formulas and help prioritize your activities in a better way.Mathematics is also applicable in calculating time and making of programs and timetables which are used in work areas, schools and also jovial events like parties, and live presentations. 

Calculation of time is an important aspect which is extremely helpful in division of labor; for example where a number of resources and workers(laborers)are available,, the number of days/hours and rate of work may be calculated and will influence further decisions which will be made by the organizers or concerned parties concerning the project.

 This also applies  in large organisations, institutions, healthcare facilities, etc.In a major and very important sector, transport sector, mathematics is used to connect speed, time and distance in such a unique manner, such that given any two of the above one can find the other. 

Also in calculation of used fuel and amount payable to the service providers (matatu owners, drivers, conductors,etc.) will determine whether any profits are made and also determine decisions made concerning it .In A country whose total area has been calculated (mathematically) and divided into provinces/counties/protectorates/divisions, etc.

 A government will/ may conduct a national census ( a total count of people) and collect revenues from its citizens, which will be divided and allocated according to the population of all places. It may also be divided according to necessities of development and help needed. The same will be divided to civil servants as salaries.

In the case of any unknowns that are required for calculation of specific quantities, an algebraic equation may be formulated in which the unknowns are used and by application of required formulas, a variable is calculated amidst constants which in unison deliver information which is much more meaningful to the user. 

In case a desired result is not achieved, the constants can be increased or decreased in accordance with the required results. This is more common in industries and firms that produce things on large and or small scale. The constant may be temperature, pressure, time, etc.

Mathematical skills are therefore important and every person. Requires them,,. All the way from children, pupils, students, to casual workers, skilled workers, business people, civil servants, lawyers,  leaders, ambassadors, etc

LIFE AS A DIABETIC

I thought I was dreaming, I had never imagined that one day I would be a victim of such a disease. Diabetes had never ever crossed my mind, but here it was. Four and a half years ago ,I was diagnosed with this condition ,it was a shock to my family and friends and more so to me. 

Life had changed, I had to adjust to a completely new lifestyle. Injecting myself every single day was a nightmare. I did not believe that I would do it. Being in high school gave me more stress as I developed fear of expressing myself. 
                  
Most people did not understand me. I thank God that I soon got used to the lifestyle of taking non sugary foods all the time and injecting myself every morning and evening. I managed to settle my mind and accept through counselling and attendance of diabetes camps. 

I developed a low immunity and this kept me on and off from school. Life was not easy. Most of us live with diabetic people around us and we do not understand them. High and low sugar are bad if not well managed.

Incase one faints of low sugar a friend is supposed to be around to give the victim glucose through the mouth this is to say a diabetic should not live alone unless under special circumstances. Adjusting to this lifestyle needs support from everyone around us. 

Diabetes type 1 makes one very sensitive to many things. It is not caused by consumption of a lot of sugar but it is the pancreas that fails to produce insulin for unknown  reasons. This type of diabetes affects people between the age of 0-24.

It is managed through injecting insulin twice or thrice a day some cases. As we talk right now I got to know how to manage the condition and accepted it. I can manage both high sugar and low sugar. Let us learn to understand people with diabetes around us to prevent them from experiencing stress, high sugar, depression among other effects. 
                    
For those who do not have the condition, exercise your body regularly and eat the right foods to ensure your immunity is strong and the heart is working well. Life is like a merry go round, we never know what next.
